My Philosophy on Developing Websites:
- The design, colors, font choices, layout needs to look awesome, attractive, beautiful, and impressive.
- A visitor should know what this website is about or selling in general in less than 3 seconds.
- The layout and user interface needs to be easy to understand. Keep pages clean, use space, less options is better, focus attention, don’t clutter.
- You should always know where you are now and how to get to where you want to be with good navigation function and indicators.
- Must have a clear call to action.
- Try not to use Flash. It’s bad for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), slower, and not compatible with iPhone and iPad.
- Usually implement some sort of Content Management System (CMS) making it easy for you to make changes to website content.
- Don’t waste time developing a script/program/features from scratch if there are good, affordable existing scripts that already exist. For example using WordPress blogging software instead of writing a new software for that same exact purpose.
